Man Injured In Motorcycle Accident Sunday On Foothills Parkway According To Great Smoky Mountains National Park

 A man was injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday on the Foothills Parkway, according to an official with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The accident happened at 6:20 p.m. between mile marker 7 and 8, closing the road for a period but it's since been reopened. The man was taken by LifeStar to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

His identity or the extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.

GSMNP rangers, Rural Metro, and Blount County Sheriff, Fire and EMS responded to the scene.
