The Tennessee Nationals 14U baseball team,
based in Knoxville, Tenn., was recognized today by Perfect Game USA as
the #10-ranked team in the country for the 2016-2017 season. Full

The team is made up of players from Farragut High School, Christian
Academy of Knoxville, Webb School, Carter High School, Hardin Valley
Academy, Powell High School, and Seymour High School, and represented
Knoxville at competitive baseball tournaments throughout the Southeast
this summer.
The Perfect Game USA rankings are released annually and have become
popular among youth and high school baseball players and families. This
is a unique and proud accomplishment for a team formed strictly from
talent in Knoxville.
Head coach Chris Goodrich told Local-8 Sports, "I'm just incredibly
proud of the 15 boys on this team that came together this summer. We set
out on a mission to prove that Knoxville has a lot of baseball talent,
