Loudon Police Department officers
responded to an apparent murder on May 10, 2017, at 201 Hill Street.
Officers originally responded to reports of a person who had died as a
result of a possible heart attack.
When officers arrived at the scene,
they determined that the deceased man, James Johnson, 53, was the victim
of an apparent gunshot wound, what officers called "foul play."
On Friday, Loudon police, along with
the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, the Tennessee Bureau of
Investigation and the Rhea County Sheriff's Department, announced the
indictment of three people, who were charged with first degree murder,
aggravated robbery, theft and being felons in possession of a firearm,
in relation to Johnson's death.
The following individuals were
indicted:
Laqueena D'lisa Brown, 26, of Dayton, Tenn.
Clarence Montrell Porter, 31, of Chattanooga, Tenn.
Christopher Blake Orr, 29, of Ooltewah, Tenn.
Officials said Brown and Porter were
arrested shortly after they were indicted. Orr fled the area, and was
arrested on Tuesday in the Denver, Colo. area.
