Police Identify Suspect, Victim In Weekend Fatal Shooting At Montgomery
Village
The Knoxville Police Department has
arrested a suspect in an overnight shooting at Montgomery Village that
left one man dead.
The shooting happened just before midnight Friday behind an apartment in
the 1100 block of Daylilly Drive in South Knoxville. Upon arrival,
officers discovered a male laying in the yard dead of a gunshot wound.
Police later identified the victim as 36-year-old Desmond Dale of
Knoxville.
KPD's investigation identified a possible suspect 28-year-old Curtis
Lane Jr. of Knoxville. After KPD conducted an interview, Lane was put
under arrest and charged with one count of first degree murder and felon
in possession of a weapon.
Lane is currently being held at the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
