Crews Respond To English Mountain Fire Friday Night
ENGLISH MOUNTAIN, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Sevier County Dispatch said crews were working to reach a fire on English Mountain Friday night. The fire was originally called in at 9:21 p.m.

Three fire departments are responding to the scene, including firefighers from English Mountain, Caton's Chapel and Sevier County.

Crews could not identify how to reach the flames, or where they were coming from. Dispatch said crews did not know if any homes or businesses were in the path of the fire, or if anyone had been injured in the fire.

The fire could reportedly be seen from both Cocke and Sevier Counties on either side of the mountain.

Crews were in the process of notifying EMA, who will release an official statement on the fire.
