Fox Host: Trump Must Reassure His Base After Steve Bannon Removed |
|
President Trump has removed chief
strategist Steve Bannon from his position in the White House, John
Roberts reported on "Outnumbered." The co-hosts reacted to the news, with Rachel Campos-Duffy saying Trump will need to reassure his base after Bannon's departure. "There are economic nationalists, not racial nationalists, who really felt good about Bannon being in the White House. President Trump is going to have to reassure that part of his base," she said. Kennedy said Bannon's comments this week about North Korea, in a phone interview with a reporter, may have been the final straw. Bannon said he did not believe there was a military solution in North Korea. "Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that ten million people in Seoul don’t die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don’t know what you’re talking about, there’s no military solution here, they got us," he said. Kennedy said that view is totally counter to the Defense Department's position. "The Blaze" host Lawrence Jones pointed back to Anthony Scaramucci accusing Bannon of being one of the leakers. He raised the prospect of Bannon, the former head of Breitbart News, now moving back into the conservative media.
