Two Kayakers Rescued From Douglas Lake Friday |

Sevier County dispatch said officials from
several agencies were responding to a possible water rescue Friday
afternoon. As of 3:15 p.m., rescuers had retrieved the passengers of two
kayaks trapped on Douglas Lake near the French Broad River and Allen
Road area. The passengers were reportedly reunited with their families. The call came in at 2:27 p.m.
