Alcoa Police Chief David Carswell
announced Thursday two men are now in custody and have been charged in
connection with the July 25 stabbing of 18-year-old Caleb Radford.
Keshawn Lonnell Hopewell, 21, of Alcoa, and Itiq Tivone Green, 28, of
Louisville, were charged with criminal homicide.
After Radford's death, detectives from multiple agencies and
investigators from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation worked to
assist in finding those behind the homicide.
"After several days of rigorous and thorough investigation, we are happy
to announce that the men responsible for Radford's death are now in
custody," Chief Carswell said. "We are thankful to the many agencies
that assisted our department in the investigation and arrests of those
two men."
Hopewell and Green are being held in lieu of a $1 million bond pending
their hearing set for 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 7, in Blount County
General Sessions Court.
