Tennessee high school students
improves across all subject areas – English, math, science, and U.S.
history – on the 2016-17 TNReady end-of-course exams.
TNReady is the statewide test given to all students in grades 3 through
11 at the end of the school year.
The state found that thousands more students met course expectations and
that fewer students scored at the lowest achievement level.
Education Commissioner Candice McQueen commented on the test results,
saying the following: "The growth is encouraging, and it shows our
students are capable of reaching the high bar we've set with our
expectations in Tennessee."
