On Thursday, 23-year-old Sierra
Danielle Messer was sentenced to serve 162 months in prison after she
was convicted for distribution and possession of child pornography.
When Messer is released from prison, she will be supervised by the U.S.
Probation Officer for 25 years, and she will be required to register
with the sex offender registry in any state where she works, lives or
attends school.
In December 2015, Messer pleaded guilty to federal charges that stemmed
from an undercover investigation into trading child pornography on the
internet. A forensic examination of her cell phone found that she had
collected 172 photos and 12 videos of child pornography.
