Victim Identified As Mother Of Three In Fatal Wreck Near Western Ave In Knox Early Saturday
Investigators identified the victim of Saturday's fatal wreck on Mynderse Avenue and Western Avenue.

Knoxville Police confirmed that Joyce Holt of Clinton died and three children were taken to East Tennessee Children's Hospital with minor injuries.

KPD says around 6:42 a.m., officers responded to a vehicle that flipped on Western and Mynderse. The vehicle was on its side and people were trapped inside.

KPD says civilians and emergency personnel were able to remove three children from the vehicle. The mother was trapped in the vehicle and died on the scene.

According to the preliminary investigation, the Ford Explorer was traveling East on Western Avenue approaching Tennessee Avenue when the driver attempted to negotiate a right-hand turn. The vehicle drifted left causing the driver to over-correct that resulted in the vehicle rolling over. Officers said the driver was not wearing a seat belt, but all three children in the vehicle were restrained.
