OAK RIDGE, Tenn.
(SOURCE: WVLT) -- Oak Ridge police responded to reports of a shooting at
around 11 p.m. on September 29.
The shooting occurred on Walsh Lane and as officers arrived, a male
suspect was fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Officers pursued and caught
the suspect a slight distance away from the scene.
The victim, a female, suffered multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds
and was flown by LifeStar to U.T. Medical Center.
As of Saturday, her condition was unknown. The suspect was taken to Oak
Ridge police headquarters for questioning.
On Saturday night, officials said 43-year-old William Molette was
arrested and charged in the shooting. Molette was charged with one count
of attempted first degree murder and two counts of possession of a
firearm in commission of a dangerous felony. |
