Killed In Head-On Crash Near Tazewell Pike In East Knox
Shortly after 4:30 p.m. Monday, a
19-year-old Knoxville woman was killed in a head-on crash on Tazewell
Pike near Adkins Road, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.
Kaylie Talbot was driving a Honda Civic north on Tazewell Pike and ran
off the road. Investigators with KCSO said she over-corrected and
crossed the center line and struck a Ford Expedition going south.
KCSO said it didn't appear Talbot was wearing a seat belt when the crash
happened. She died in the ambulance on the way to the University of
Tennessee Medical Center.
The driver of the SUV, a 42-year-old woman, was not hurt
