Seven Year Old Boy Drowns In West Knoxville Motel Swimming Pool
A 7-year-old boy has died this evening after being left unattended in a West Knoxville motel swimming pool.


Officers responded just after 7 p.m. to Quality Inn and Suites, 317 N. Cedar Bluff Road. The boy was found at the bottom of the pool and was unresponsive. A bystander pulled the child out and began CPR until he was transported to Park West Medical Center, but he didn't survive.

Investigators say there were no adults present at the pool, and are currently interviewing the child's family to discover how this happened. The child's name is being withheld as the investigation continues.
