Skeletal Remains Found Outside Montgomery Village In Knoxville Identified

The Knox County Sheriff's Office has tentatively identified the remains of
a body found in Montgomery Village in South Knoxville Saturday night.

The skeletal remains were reported Saturday evening just after 8 p.m. A deputy at the scene tonight said children found the body while playing in the woods about a mile behind the apartment complex.

The family of the victim has been notified, and the Knox County Sheriff's Office is awaiting results from the Knox County Regional Forensics Center for a positive I.D.

A spokesperson with the Knox County Sheriff's Office said that there are no signs of foul play at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
